URBAN RENEWAL PASSES!
After many months of conversations and advocacy, the Eugene City Council unanimously approved an amendment to the Downtown Eugene Urban Renewal Agency 10 days ahead of schedule. This amendment makes $50 million available to fund downtown community priorities including increasing housing availability, physical improvements to address safety and comfort, and emerging areas of interest including community facilities, open spaces, and other development supports.
EMPLOYER-PROVIDED CHILDCARE CREDIT
The Employer-Provided Child Care Credit can save employers with eligible expenses more in taxes than using a deduction alone, and employees can exclude some childcare benefits from their taxable wages. For employers, the credit can offset actual federal income tax liability.
To receive the tax credit, employers must complete a short, half-page form (Form 8882).
FREE ONLINE KINDERGARTEN READINESS PROGRAM
KITS At Home is a 90 minute program and meets once a week for 8 weeks in the summer or fall.

Team Bonding through the Arts
Many of our staff learned a new skill writing computer code necessary to create fantastic and colorful Zoom backgrounds! Thanks to the ABAE program, Arts During Hours, we had a wonderful time bonding and creating art.
Endeavor Eugene
Endeavor means “a goal worth striving for.” It’s not only a goal but a priority for us to better support the BIPOC community and ensure their success in business and beyond. We were proud to introduce our new program Endeavor, focusing on moving our equity, inclusion, and diversity work forward with the support of our title sponsor, Kaiser Permanente.
Finding Solutions to Homeless Crisis
Our staff has participated in more than 65 meetings since March 1st with businesses, city and county staff, service providers, neighborhoods, advocates, experts in other cities to address the issues surrounding homelessness in the community. It’s a multifaceted issue that will require community collaboration, and we are actively advocating for solutions to solve this crisis.
